It is with sadness that we advise the passing of Member Ron Fenton. Ronny (as we all knew him) passed away yesterday. His final hours were spent doing what he loved, playing golf with his mates and enjoying a few beers and telling stories. Always one that would light up a room with his personality and positivity, Ronny was an accomplished builder and also a great boxer in his day, fighting 21 times for 15 wins (4 by KO) and 6 losses.
As mentioned, Ronny was on a golf trip with his mates from the Club when he had a medical issue which he was unable to recover from. A special mention to Member Mark Williams who performed first aid on Ron and those other Members who also assisted the paramedics onsite at the time, the true Southern spirit and mateship was on display.
Rest in peace Ronny, you will be missed dearly.
The funeral for Ron Fenton will be at Bunurong Memorial Park at the Stratus Chapel, 2.30pm on Tuesday 28th October, followed by refreshments at 3.45pm.
